Jade Eckardt: A versatile writer, editor and storyteller 




 

Jade Eckardt is a Hawaiʻi-based writer, editor, and author with nearly two decades of experience working across digital and print platforms.

 

Throughout her career, she has covered a wide range of subjects for regional and national publications, with a particular focus on culture, travel, social justice, food, the environment, and hyper-local news.

 

Her work has appeared in numerous publications, often accompanied by her photography. She has reported on President Barack Obama from the White House motorcade, served as an editor at several news outlets, written audio tour scripts, authored Moon Kauaʻi, and brings extensive experience in travel writing.

 

Jade holds a BA in anthropology from the University of Hawaiʻi, where she focused on Hawaiian culture and archaeology.
