Jade Eckardt: A versatile writer and storyteller. 

Jade Eckardt is a freelance writer, editor, and photographer who splits her time between Hawai'i and New York. She currently writes for Surfer Magazine and is open to freelance opportunities. 

 

Throughout her career, she's covered a diverse array of topics, but she particularly enjoys writing about travel, social justice, food, culture, and the environment. Some of her work is featured here.

 

Jade's writing has been published online and in numerous regional and national print publications. She has reported on President Obama from the White House motorcade, served as editor at several newspapers, written audio-tour scripts, and is the author of Moon Kaua'i.

 

She holds a BA in anthropology from the University of Hawai'i.
